MEET THE PROVIDER
Rashidat Laiyemo, FNP-BC
Rashidat Laiyemo, MS, CRNP, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner based in Maryland, who earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Chamberlain University. Rashidat brings a broad clinical background spanning primary care, urgent care, pediatrics, adult and geriatric care, with expertise in both acute and chronic disease management.
Throughout her career, Rashidat has worked across high-acuity hospital settings and outpatient clinics, including MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and multiple primary and urgent care practices. She has managed everything from complex critical care cases to everyday health concerns, always with a focus on thorough assessment, patient education, and evidence-based treatment.
Rashidat created Heartland Family Care to spend more time with patients and really understand the root cause of their illnesses. Rashidat is committed to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care—creating an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their health.

Insurance-Covered Care
Heartland Family Care accepts insurance for most services, including preventive care, chronic condition management, and mental health care. We are in-network with Medicare, Maryland Medicaid, Carefirst BCBS MD, Aetna, and United Healthcare and are actively credentialing with additional Medicaid MCO Plans in the Maryland Area.
